Chronicles Unfound is an open-world fantasy RPG made by a team of graduates from the University of Texas at Dallas under the banner of Township Studios. The demo, which is about 6-8 hours of gameplay, ran an unsuccessful campaign on Kickstarter to continue full development for release on Steam/Epic. I served as Co-Creative Director and Game Designer on the project. My work generally focused around four key areas: Content/System Design, Providing Direction, Implementing Dialogue/Questlines, and World/Level Design.

I wrote all of design documentation for the game, specifically the systems for combat, dialogue, quests, the character/camera controller, inventory, and crafting. During production, I met daily with the team to provide direction and reel the team in when engineering or art strayed too far from the vision or the predetermined scope, along with boosting morale when times were tough. During this period, I also created the greybox for the Tutorial Level and began doing the level design for the overworld map, which I built almost every area/biome except for the Bandit Camp and part of Daphurst Village. Last came the Dialogue and Quests, which I implemented towards the later end of production when the systems and storyline was more fleshed out. All in all, I wrote over 500 lines of dialogues across 30 NPCs to bring 7 major quest chains (along with some minor side quests) to life for the players to explore and enjoy.

3D Dungeon Design

This is the white-boxing of the tutorial dungeon the player will go through at the start of project township. Eventually this will be chopped into modular pieces I design and we will have randomly generated layouts for additional dungeons.
